The design/pattern version of NS100 does not occlude air flow, so the breathability of the base substrate remains practically unchanged. This unique feature reduces heat build-up and ensures comfort with all of the other added functional benefits.
Once applied to a substrate, NS100 can withstand repeated rubbing or wear-and-tear without compromise. Testing confirms excellent durability after 5,000 cycles of the Martindale Abrasion Test protocol (ASTM D4966).
ENHANCED COEFFICIENT OF FRICTION (CoF)
Sometimes the original surface characteristics of a substrate are smoother than desired for the target application. NS100 can enhance the surface CoF on the entire substrate surface or in specific, targeted areas with minimal impact to the other desirable properties.
DESIGN, PATTERN AND 3D OPPORTUNITIES
In addition to the functional attributes, NS100 can be applied by rotary screen technology to flexible substrates in designs or geometric patterns for added aesthetic value. This added depth dimension can also serve as a spacer medium that can enable airflow or minimize contact abrasion of the substrate to which it is applied.
REQUIREMENTS AND TESTING
NS100 satisfies the AATCC 61 requirements for 2A wash testing, and can be easily maintained to ensure cleanliness.
Characteristics of this highly engineered product are ideal for medical support braces/wraps, wheelchair padding, and sports padding. Other potential applications include seating systems, shoulder straps, glove palms, panels for bags, cases or luggage. NS100 is a highly functional coating that will not compromise the aesthetic or physical characteristics of the base materials.Contact us
